The reason for me taking part in the Bristol Hlaf Marathon is because of my beautiful and amazing mother, she inspires each and everyday, to get out into the world and to live life to the full, you never know what is round the corner, and sadly this is what happened to my family, and more so my mum. Just over 10 years ago, she was diagnosed with the 'disease' Rheumatoid Arthritis, which hit not only her very hard but my family as a whole. being away in hospital for a long period of time, meant my father had to look after me and my 2 sisters. The fact that now after those hard times and struggles to get on with things that were happening, my mum is getting on with life, never moaning about the constant pain she is in, doing just simple daily activities. This pains me to have to see, and to know that hundreds, and thousands of more people around the globe have this, makes me want to get peoples attention, make others sit up and take notice, because I know first hand how this can effect not only that specific person, but their whole family. My quest is to raise as much money as I possibly can, to help aid the research into any help they can give people suffering from any form of Arthritis.
