Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We spent over 7 hours yesterday building a 6ft igloo in Bristol! It's still standing and one person even went on to spend the night there.
It started as a idea of 2 students, but as the day went on we were joined by friends, passing families, and our next door neighbour. The community spirit we experienced was overwhelming and so we decided to put all this interest to a good cause. 1625 Independant people seemed the perfect charity, as they provide sheltered accomodation and support for homeless young people in Bristol.
ITV even came and filmed this morning for South-West news, which hopefully will help raise the profile of the charity, so special thanks to Luke Walton for making that opportunity possible. Also thanks to Luke and his daughters, plus Minnie, Coco and family, for their help in the construction, and to the family at number 11 for the donation of the spade and torch!
Come and visit our igloo on Redland Green, just off Redland Road, and please give generously!
