Running.... For me running is a positive thing that has come out of 2020!
At the start of my running journey this year I wasn't a fan, I used it as a way to keep fit in lockdown, but as time went on it became my escape and it still is, whether running alone with my dog or heading out with friends, every run is enjoyable! Yes enjoyable...
I aim to run or to be active every day in January - I might not be saying enjoyable by the end of the month!
I have truly been inspired by amazing people around me in 2020 and I now want to give something back. So here I am wanting to raise awareness that exercise can help support your mental health, which is more important than ever with the changing times we live in.
I feel proud to be doing this with the support of REDmummies a group of local mums doing exercise every day in January for a fantastic cause
This January, the RED community will be challenging themselves to get active every day. Whether running, swimming, cycling or choosing a favourite fitness activity, REDers will be going the extra mile to support themselves and others.Their fitness and fundraising efforts combined with your generosity will help Sport in Mind reach and empower people to experience the life-changing benefits of physical activity.
