January is a notoriously rough month for many people, and this will be our first one in lockdown with many having to experience it in the highest tier restrictions in the UK.
As someone who struggles with mental health issues, I wanted to start this year off with a positive movement and a way to encourage myself to continue on building myself up. I don’t fundraise very often as I worry that I’d let people down by not meeting targets of goal-oriented fundraisers, so RED January encourages me to raise funds without the stress of having to meet targets.
I hope this inspires other people to get up and get active with me! And remember, exercise isn’t just taking yourself to the gym for an hour long session. It’s also walking to work or playing active games like Just Dance (which will definitely be one of the ways I’ll be exercising!)
