RED January empowers people to support their mental health with physical activity, in partnership with Sport in Mind, the UK's mental health and sports charity.

Story

This January, like in 2019 and 2020 I will be taking on RED January 2021. This year, thanks to a recurring injury, I won't be running. Instead I have committed to 10 miles cycling every day (cue the padded shorts and a good podcast!!)

RED January is important to my immediate and extended family. Our family has seen first hand how life changing becoming mentally unwell can be. Mind have helped us get through big and difficult mental illness challenges and we are all committed to raising awareness of mental illness and making it ok to talk about, making it ok not to be ok.

Sadly, this year, mental health will be further challenged. Covid has piled on the pressure and so now more than ever, funds are needed to help keep us well and provide the support we need when we're not.

If you can donate anything at all, no matter how small, our team would be so grateful. And if you can support us by cheering us on (we'll be posting on Facebook, Twitter and Linked In) and by talking about mental health, then maybe together we can make a real difference to mental well-being.

Thank You

Gill
