Story
This January, I will be helping to raise money for Mind Charity in Salford.
5 years ago I began using exercise to overcome my own mental health struggles with OCD.

Since that first day 5 years ago I no longer suffer from any OCD symptoms or thoughts. To overcome this mental health issue with exercise alone proves how much of a vital part it plays in keeping me healthy, and that our mental and physical health are intertwined.
It is for this reason that I will be taking part in trying to achieve 5000 calories on the assault bike, at Pure Gym in Salford, Exchange Quay to raise awareness for this cause. This will take place at 4pm, on the 28th January. I am hoping for this to take around 5 - 6 hours.
Anyone that knows me, knows that endurance exercise is not something that I enjoy, and anyone who has ever sat on an assault bike will know that 10 minutes on that piece of equipment is usually enough!
Thankfully I will be inviting members of the gym to jump on the bike for up to 5 minutes at a time to help contribute towards my 5000 calorie goal!
If you are a member of Pure Gym and see me doing this challenge - PLEASE HELP ME!! I will be very grateful for your help in reaching my goal.
Thanks,
Emma
