This January, the RED community will be challenging themselves to get active every day. Whether running, swimming, cycling or choosing a favourite fitness activity, REDers will be going the extra mile to support themselves and others.Their fitness and fundraising efforts combined with your generosity will help continue Minds life-changing work, ensuring no-one has to face a mental health problem alone.
One in four adults will experience a mental illness at some point each year in the UK. This ranges from anxiety and depression to alcohol dependence, substance misuse and psychosis.
I am one of those one in four, for me it is still a conscious effort every day to maintain my mental health and well-being . Which is why I have decided to join red January and raise awareness around mental health, support and raise money in the process for mind to ensure they can continue to provide support for people that need it.
