Story
Jim was a fantastic bloke. He was a great son, fiancé, grandson, nephew and cousin and we all loved him dearly. He had a cracking sense of humour and never failed to make us all laugh with his silly stories and jokes.
Sadly, in June, life became too much for him and his sudden passing left us all broken hearted.
In January, we will all be taking part in Red January to raise money for the mental health charity, Mind. Each one of us will be setting our own personal daily active challenge, but all for one reason - our Jim.
If you would like to give a small donation in Jim’s memory, we would very much appreciate it.
Thanks,
Helen, Steph, John, Cheryl, Kieran, Josh, Ian, Liz, Anita, Phil, Matthew, Alexander, Russ, Jules and Rowena
Steph, Jules, Phil and Russ - will run 3 to 4 miles every day to reach 100 miles each by the end of January.
Helen - will commit to doing something active every day in January. She will either be rowing at the gym or power walking.
Anita (accompanied by Matthew and Alexander👶🏼👶🏼) - will be walking 2 miles every day.
Liz and Ian - will be cycling 6 to 7 miles every day to reach 200 miles each by the end of January.
John - will be cycling, running or walking the distance to Portman Road and then back to Rushden. This is around 176 miles and equates to 5.7 miles a day. (Being a fellow Ipswich fan like Jim, John hopes that it might help the tractor boys to move off the foot of the championship!)
Cheryl - will be getting up every day at 5.25am before work to cycle as far as she can in 25 minutes.
Kieran - will be climbing the equivalent of Mont Blanc in stairs! That’s 15,800 ft which works out to be the equivalent of 39 flights of stairs per day.
Rowena - will be running 2 miles every day.
