Grove School Read-A-Thon, 28 May 2022
This half term the Grove School will be helping to celebrate the Jubilee by getting their books out to raise funds for reading initiatives throughout the school.

Story

This half term the children at the Grove School are being challenged to get reading and raise money for the brand-new Junior library and new phonics reading books in the Infants.

Inspired by the Jubilee, the Infant classes will be attempting to read to or with an adult for 70 minutes or more during the week-long holiday.

There are some great prizes for the winning classes including non-uniform days, extra story times and special snacks!  The class that raises the most money will also win £100 from Bradford and Howley for them to spend on a treat of their choice.

Last year the sponsored run raised a record amount of money for the school that has been put to good use buying a greenhouse to support eco-projects and an inspiring mural in the junior dining hall, reinforcing the values and aims of the school.

Please support us in beating last year’s total and creating some brilliant resources to help inspire the next generation of Grove School readers!

Thank You!

The PTA raises money for the school to spend on equipment and resources to enhance our children’s educational experience and the schools' facilities. It provides closer links between home and school and is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together in support of the school.
