To all our friends and family, 

We have chosen to run the Great Birmingham 10K on May 26th in support of the Birmingham Women's Charity which is one of only 2 dedicated women's hospitals here in the UK with the busiest single site maternity unit, delivering over 8,000 babies per year. Unfortunately, every year there are over 2,000 grieving parents who lose their babies through miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The funds raised from our run will go towards building the Woodland House where bereavement midwives will be able to offer services and a safe space for grieving parents. Having had close friends and family that have lost a child, we understand how important this type of support is and want to do whatever we can to help make this happen.
