I'm sure if you're reading this you will know that Grandad and I had a very special bond. A total legend, he's left a massive hole in my life. 

Pendleside were there to support our family to meet Grandad's wishes to stay at home during his final weeks. Their Hospice at Home service was invaluable and Grandad enjoyed his chats with the ladies in purple.

The hospice is such a valuable part of our community and I'm sure has impacted someone you know. This is not the first time Pendleside has supported my family and I also walk in memory of my great-grandma who spent her final days at Pendleside and for the many family and friends whose lives have been made a little easier because of Pendleside. 

We are lucky to have Pendleside and hopefully this sponsored walk will help them continue with their vital support. Not only do I hope to raise some money, but this challenge will give me something positive to focus on after the darkest few months. 

It costs £7,500 to keep the Hospice running for one day, so every penny that is raised is so important. You may never know exactly how your support will help but you can be assured that the impact your support will have on local families who can benefit from the Hospice services at one of the most difficult and emotional times will be huge and every so appreciated.
