Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Yes I am off again... this time I am going for a half marathon, the Wilmslow Half Marathon on 30th March 2008 (advertised as "a race not a run", with a time limit!).  I am well on the way with my training, having begun in earnest post-Christmas festivities.

I am going to be running in aid of IA, a registered charity supporting people who have undergone surgery resulting in them requiring an ileostomy (an external pouch that collects the body's waste).  My very good friend Julie had to have this surgery after suffering a ruptured appendix in December 2006.  Fortunately, she was able to have a reversal operation 6 months later and now her health slowly but surely continues to improve.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: IA will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support - I think I'm going to need it!   :-)
