Story
Hi everyone,
On May 10th 2015 I will be running in the Morrisons Great Manchester 10k Run with the Stroke Association in memory of my grandad, Bob Lomas. I choose this charity as my grandad sadly suffered a stroke, passing away in 2007 at the age of just 58. He was a brilliant, funny man who loved his family dearly. His nickname for me was 'The Little Northern Girl' and I know he would be very proud of me for doing this in his honour.
Anyone that knows me will know that I am not a runner by any means, in fact I am the exact opposite. I absolutely hate exercise so this is completely out of my comfort zone! I am determined to do it however, so even if I have to crawl over that finish line I will and I am hoping to raise a modest amount of money for a charity which is close to my heart whilst also remembering my wonderful grandad.
So it would mean so much to me if you lovely people could please donate any amount you feel you can spare to an amazing charity whose mission is to prevent strokes and achieve life after stroke through campaigning, educating and researching, whilst also providing services and support to stroke survivors.
Thank you for taking time to read my story and thank you in advance for any donation you make
