Story
Team An Caladh are running the Lincoln 10K to raise money for St Barnabas Hospice in memory of Rebecca Booth. Rebecca was a wonderfully kind and happy woman who faced many challenges in her life. She was diagnosed with breast cancer just as the global pandemic hit us in full force. Rebecca, being the determined individual that she was, continued to fight this particularly nasty cancer whilst having to isolate in a different home, undergo a mastectomy and chemotherapy. She sadly passed away on the 17th April 2021. Rebecca's family and carers are so grateful for the support from the St Barnabas nurses that helped manage her pain so she could spend her final weeks in her home at An Caladh.
Team An Caladh is made up of Rebecca's carers and family 💛
We are taking part in the Lincoln 10k to support St Barnabas Hospice. Any money you can donate to support us with this challenge would be greatly appreciated. You will be making a real difference to patients and families across Lincolnshire living with a life-limiting or terminal illness, ensuring St Barnabas can be there for them every day of the year. By way of example, every £14.58 raised will enable St Barnabas to provide one hour of specialist at-home care to a patient living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
