Story

In 2023 I am running 3 half marathons and a marathon. Starting off with Tunbridge Wells Half marathon in February,  Paddock Wood Half marathon in March , The London Landmarks Half Marathon in April and finishing off with The London Marathon at the end of April all to raise money for the charity SUDC UK (Sudden unexpected deaths in children). This is a charity that is close to my heart as they have supported a family very close to me and my family.I want to help raise awareness of this charity and what they do to support families when they suffer such a devastating loss.

In  December 2021 a very close friend of mine and her family had their world shattered. Their beautiful boy Wilf was rushed to hospital and heartbreakingly never returned home, only a few weeks before his 3rd birthday. He was the cheekiest, funniest, most amazing little boy and the best little brother to Fergus, he touched the hearts of everyone who met him. I would really appreciate your support with raising money for this charity to help the families of those effected by the loss of their child and loved ones. I will be running in memory of Wilf whilst listening to AC DC and the Venga boys (favorites of his) whilst eating skittles (for energy of course but they were his favorite “weeties”. Thank you for your support xx

SUDC UK is a registered, national charity dedicated to raising awareness, funding research and supporting families affected by Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).     SUDC is the sudden and unexpected death of a child aged 1-18 years where the cause of death remains unexplained after a thorough investigation. 40 children are affected every year in the UK, more than young child deaths due to traffic accidents, fires or drowning and comparable to 1-2 seemingly healthy children dying every fortnight. Thank you for your support.
