Story
Thank you for helping me raise £1000 for the Dot Com Foundation. As a victim of bullying my whole life I often wondered how my parents and teachers could have helped me. There was no social media or text messaging as proof and the bullying was never physical. It was pure exclusion. And when enough people tell you you aren't worth enough to play with after a while you start to believe it. I had an epiphany moment when last year when I realised that, had someone had been able to give me the life skills to realise my own worth, or taught my teachers and parents how to support me in this way, maybe I could have been less affected by it. The truth of the matter is there are hundreds of thousands of children who suffer bullying and, even worse, abuse from people they should feel safe around and I decided there and then that I wanted to work with children to teach them the skills I myself have learnt through my Forever business. The Dot Com Foundation fell into my lap in the most wonderfully unexpected way and I am in discussion with them as to how I can work with them further. In the meantime I have committed to raising £1000 by December 31st 2016.
The Dot Com Foundation work with the police to provide workshops in schools. Through the story of the delightful little cartoon girl Dot Com, the children are handed journals that they work through and are taught not only to value themselves but also how to keep themselves safe.
Thank you for taking the time to support this cause, we appreciate you so much. If you feel your school may benefit from the Dot Com programme please do get in touch!
Thank you again. x
