The picture on the left is my niece, Harriet Cartwright. She passed away in February 2008 at the age of just 11 months after being born with a Congenital Heart Condition.

Although we have had lots of support from family and friends, I wanted to say a big thank you to a special charity that has helped my brother and his wife immensely over the last 2 years. This charity is The Children's Heart Association - Liverpool Branch.

In return for your kind sponsorship, I will be completing The Great North Run, a half marathon (13.1) in Newcastle Upon Tyne and for those of you who know I am no runner, this is a great personal challenge to me.

So please can I ask you to sponsor me what you can, even if it's just £1, it will make all the difference... And don't forget to Gift Aid it too.
