Continuing to raise money for Roundabout via this collection box!
This is a general collection box for raising money for Roundabout. It is also where you donate for the Christmas 2022 Charity Yoga to help others....
Our fundraising history
During 2019/20 (the last academic year of face to face teaching) we raised over £595 for Roundabout in our collection tin and charity workshops. We also collected a full car load of gifts for Christmas.
In early 2020 due to the pandemic we moved online and using Justgiving we have raised £895 (This is this collection box figure plus an extra £225 for the 2020 online yoga retreat which went into a seperate Just giving collection box.).
About Roundabout
Roundabout is South Yorkshire's youth homeless charity. Roundabout now supports over 300 young people aged 16-25 every day. They provide emergency accommodation in their hostel, support young people in residential projects in Sheffield and Rotherham and provide key services delivering comprehensive programmes of training, involvement and empowerment which help to prepare young people for independent living. Your support will go a long way to changing the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in Sheffield. Whilst their Homeless Prevention Service is there for anyone who needs support and advice, they recently found that not all vulnerable young people were coming to our drop-in to seek help. They began to see rough sleepers in Sheffield who were aged under 25 – these young people immediately became their priority, leading to them to develop a new street outreach team called Rapid Rehousing. They now have dedicated workers who actively go out into the community, identify homeless young people who need intensive support and help them to access accommodation and develop their long term living skills.
