On 29 April 2011, the day of the royal wedding, while the nation was celebrating my husband had his first operation to remove a tumour that had perforated his bowel. Since then he has undergone a further two operations and numerous cycles of chemotherapy. 

In October 2013 we were given the devastating news his cancer was terminal. At this point we turned to Macmillan for advice and support which has been invaluable, I cannot give his Macmillan nurse,  Margaret, enough praise. Any donations to this amazing charity no matter how great or small are greatly appreciated.
