Charities like MPN Voice are very small and only deal with these specific blood cancers, this is a rare condition that most people have never heard of however they have helped me feel supported and less alone which is great. On diagnosis my platelets were well over a million hence my challenge a million steps for MPN. Currently I feel well which is brilliant but that has not always been so and I have regular times when I feel dreadful but that is part of the condition.

It is very difficult living with a condition that is incurable and MPN voice are leading the way to help find a cure, at the moment they can only manage my condition with low dose chemotherapy. Currently I am on this for life, it is and is likely to take a further toll on my body, it may stop me being well enough for a bone marrow transplant in the future that’s why #Weneedacure - (there is no I in we)
