Story
Hi Everyone - first off thankyou for visiting my page.
In a moment of madness, a few months back I signed up to run the liverpool marathon. I was reading the echo and an advertisement stood out to me, to represent Liverpool Unites (Reece Jones charity) and help raise money for Alder Hey childrens hospital imagine appeal. Having always been a keen runner I thought it would be a breeze (not!) if the training is anything to go by, the 9th October will be the end of me ;-) !
Now for the sad bit .... Alder Hey holds a very special place in my heart. During my younger years, as a family we spent alot of time there with my little brother, Edward who sadly lost his battle to leukaemia back in 1995. Seeing first hand how the hospital have to accomodate families of terminally ill children, my cause is one im very passionate about. The imagine appeal is based on building a recreation park within the hospital grounds for both patients and siblings ... which im sure will provide a very much needed escape.
So on the 9th October when my legs are collapsing on me and I think ive gone mad the memories of our time there will be spurring me on.
I need your pennies folks - every little counts.
