Last year Julian House provided life-changing support to over 1,400 vulnerable individuals who were experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness across Bath, Bristol, and the South West. Without this support the life expectancy of a long-term homeless person is – shockingly – just 45 years.
Please help me reach my target of £500 by donating and by sharing this message.
Here's how your support could help:
- £10
could buy a phone top-up card for a vulnerable female client escaping domestic abuse.
- £15
could provide an emergency baby pack of nappies, wipes etc for a mother escaping domestic abuse.
- £50 could
buy a wholesome meal for 10 men and women staying in our Manvers Street hostel.
- £150 could
buy a move-on pack to help a former rough sleeper move in to and furnish their own accommodation.
- £250 could
buy a new home starter pack to help an abused mother and her children into their new accommodation.
- £1000 could
pay for new tenancy starter packs containing essential household items (e.g. towels, bedding, crockery, pots and pans.) This will support 10 rough sleepers moving into their own accommodation.
- £5,000 could
pay for 15 socially excluded people to attend a six-week Build-a-Bike course in our Bath Bike Workshop where they can gain the confidence, skills and work experience needed to progress towards employment.
- £10,000 could
pay for 15 women with experience of domestic abuse to access a 12-week educative group programme where they can learn about the dynamics of abuse and the impact it has on themselves and their children, so that they can exit their abusive situation and avoid abusive relationships in future.
