Story
As many of you know our son George Maurice Sinclair was born sleeping via an emergency c section on 15th November 2020 after an infection sent me into early labour and caused life threatening bleeding. The staff at Raigmore saved me but George was just too little to survive. We had amazing support from all the staff and were given time to spend with George. Now I would like to give something back in George's honour.
SiMBA Family Rooms within maternity and neonatal units offer bereaved parents the opportunity to spend the most precious time with their baby in a peaceful and private setting. A place where precious memories can be made and photos taken. A place where siblings, family members and friends can also visit and meet baby. A place where you can spend time together, that can never be replaced, in the most perfect of surroundings. Through the Lola Commons fund for SiMBA we encourage community involvement and we would like to invite parents, families, hospital staff, local businesses and corporate connections to join together and play a key role in the refurbishment designs and room content. Together we can work towards achieving our fundraising target and installing the "gold standard" rooms that we strive for. Our Family Room project in Raigmore is an extensive project, covering several rooms in different wards across the hospital. Thank you for supporting us!
