Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So I am running the Bupa Manchester 10k on Sunday 26th May! For those of you who have heard me whinging the last few months about my shin splints thank you, hopefully you won’t have to hear this again after the race. I am hoping to run most, if not all of the race.
I am running the race with through my friend's company in Manchester on behalf of the Wood Street Mission, which was formed in 1869. Based in the centre of Manchester (in Spinningfields adjacent to the John Rylands Library). Their focus is to provide practical help by providing free clothing, bedding, baby equipment and toys to disadvantaged children and their families in the Manchester and Salford area. Each year they run several projects such as their Christmas project where they aim to help local families in need to ensure that their children all have a Christmas present on Christmas Day. They are also keen to ensure that the parents receive a food hamper containing a variety of item to help the family over the Christmas period. To do this they rely on donations of food and toys and financial contributions.
