Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
I am doing the 10k in May in order to raise money for a good cause in memory of a good friend. Many of you may have read in the Manchester evening news recently of the tragic story of 'Matthew Burgess', who died suddenly from sudden adult death syndrome at the young age of 20 on the 18th of January 2014. Matthew was loved by many and made a huge impact on a lot of people, whether they were family, friends, people his own age or the elderly, his main goal was to help others. He also did a lot of voluntary work for his church community and help lead the youth group, again to help others. Matthew also had dreamed for a long time to become a fireman and was starting to slowly approach that goal, again a job that invilved helping others. His main goal through out his life which was sadly cut very short, was always to help others when in need, put a smile on everyones faces, and always to make a difference which was shown through his work. A truly inspirational young man, who was determined to carry on his dads charitable work, as sadly 7 years ago, Matthew lost his dad also to sudden adult death syndrome. Matthew even though in form is no longer with us, is still carrying on his good work, bringing people together, guiding people and opening new chapters for a lot of people. My goal is to raise as much money as possible, my goal is £200+. I have recently started youth group and taking part in voluntary work at the church, Matthew has given me confidence and inspiration to carry on his work and to help others in every way. So please please take some time out of your day to donate and help carry on the good work. Thank you .
