Virgin London Marathon 2016 · 24 April 2016 ·

On Sunday 24th April 2016, 6 incredible Donkey Sanctuary supporters will take on the London Marathon hoping to raise £10,000 for donkeys and mules living and working in appalling conditions worldwide.

Story

In April i will be running the London Marathon to raise funds for The Donkey Sanctuary. Undeniably, this is up there with some of my more ridiculous ideas, but i feel strongly that charities like this rely on the help of people like me who are willing to do absurd things in order to do some good.

My affinity with this charity is not just because i love animals but is because i strongly believe what The Donkey Sanctuary does is important. Their work goes beyond just rescuing animals that have been neglected but extends to providing support in countries where donkeys are central to peoples livelihoods. My friend Ray has recently joined the team as fundraiser so on another level me taking part in this event is about supporting her in the work that she does.

I'll be updating this page with stories and photos of my training (which you'll be pleased to know has started). You can all have a good laugh at how horrific i look in dri fit clothes and when running.

Any donations would be gladly welcomed.

ps thanks to Michelle for prompting me to get my arse in to gear with setting this page up.
