This year on the 5th of June, I will be running my first race for life in loving memory of my wonderful Gran who was taken from us by skin cancer 3 years ago this summer.

I'm not the most athletic type and running has never been a strength of mine but I'll be putting on my running shoes alongside my big cousins and my god-mother to support this vital charity.

My wee Gran meant the world to me, and it's for this reason I entered the race for life this year, as I hope the money I raise will contribute towards a cure that will ensure another girl in the world will be able to spend all the time she possibly can with her Gran. 

I know a lot of people who have been/ are effected by cancers of all types and I live in hope that one day there will be a cure.
