Story
I started fundraising for my place in the Virtual London Marathon back in 2021, running for Tommy's as I'd had two miscarriages (one missed miscarriage) and was feeling very low - running and raising money felt like the best thing to do to help the pain.
But I had to pull out. I told everyone it was due to knee issues when actually...we were pregnant again. Super excited, I didn't want to do *anything* to jeopardise this, so I deferred my place to 2022. Tommy's were of course incredibly supportive.
At 11weeks and 5 days I was told that my baby no longer had a heartbeat. We'd had another missed miscarriage. I can't begin to explain how this feels - our hearts were broken.
So now it's time to lace up my spanking new Marathon trainers and get out training again - this time for London 2022. My goodness do I want to raise some vital funds for the work that Tommy's does, for people like me.
Whatever you can give - anything...you're amazing! Thank you for your support.
One final quick thing I'd like to ask: if you know anyone suffering with miscarriage, fertility issues or baby loss, reach out to them today and say Hi, ask how they're doing, let them know your care - it means the world. Thanks x

Tommy's fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. Tommy's want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and take home happy healthy babies.
I am fundraising to help Tommy's prevent parents from going through baby loss, provide information to empower women through pregnancy and to support those who have suffered pregnancy complications or loss.
Please donate to this fantastic cause who are doing ground breaking work. I hugely appreciate your support.
All donations will be quickly processed and passed to Tommy's and gift aid claimed on Tommy's behalf where the donor is eligible.
