We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

In 2011 my Grandma sadly passed away at the age of 77, after suffering from dementia. She was a very influential person in my life, whose care and love was boundless. The emotional strain for all close to her, who witnessed her decline from a vivacious and joyful person, was huge. The events certainly made me appreciate just how precious life is and want to do something to support this wonderful & worthwhile charity.

There are far too many unknowns about dementia and Alzheimer's (which accounts for 60% of all dementia), but with a progressively aging population, its prevalence is growing. The Alzheimer's Society (www.alzheimers.org.uk) works to not only fund research into the causes and treatment of the disease, but also by providing services to make the lives of sufferers more content and also for the families and friends of the sufferers as well.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for visiting my page & please donate whatever you can!  J
