Story
In February 2016 I will be cycling a 415km route in Rajasthan, India, to raise money for HEAL (Health and Education for All).
HEAL is a UK registered charity which provides shelter, support, education and healthcare to children in India. A key target is to lift 10,000 children out of the poverty trap by 2020. It runs a number of projects, including the HEAL Children's Village in Guntur, HEAL Paradise Village in Thotapalli, and other projects in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. Through these projects HEAL provides homes, food, education and medical care to orphaned and under privileged children. After cycling from Mumbai to Goa in 2014, I visited some of these projects to see for myself how HEAL makes enduring positive changes to children's lives, happiness and well-being.
This small charity is run entirely by volunteers, so your donations go directly to benefit the children at the projects in India. Cyclists fund all their own costs of the cycle ride and visits to the projects. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
