Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Ectopic pregnancy is a serious, potentially life-threatening condition that affects 1 in 90 pregnancies and it is the leading cause of maternal death in the first trimester.
The #EPT1000 challenge will see myself walk 1000miles in 2023 for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust who have been so helpful and a wonderful source of information to us and many others.
Wee backstory of ours: David and I found out we were pregnant at the start of January. We were both over the moon but also very nervous as we’ve had two miscarriages back in 2022. I had some bleeding but nothing was screaming alarm bells. We had our scan and was told “your pregnancy is at an unknown location and not viable” leaving the hospital we was absolutely devastated to have to go through this again, fast forward two days I started having severe abdominal pain on the left side and was told to come straight back to the hospital. I found out I was having an ectopic pregnancy and unfortunately I had to have my left fallopian tube removed and that I needed to go in for emergency surgery.
Having the challenge it’ll help massively in my recovery mentally, physically and emotionally.
