Story
Together, with friends and family, we are raising money for life saving equipment for premature babies at James Cook Neo Natal Unit at Middlesbrough by completing a variety of challenges over 2023 in memory of our son Jack.
Thank you in advance to each and every one of you that will be supporting us.

Our Story
We welcomed our first son Jack into the world in June 2020 at 24 weeks into pregnancy. Jack fought bravely, and we are so thankful to have had 5 days with him, unfortunately he wasn't ready for this world so we sadly had to say goodbye. During our precious time together, we were able to cuddle him, hold his hand and see his responses to our touch and sounds. The memories that we made during his time at Middlesbrough will last forever.
The unit were incredible, and we can’t thank them enough for their expertise in trying to save Jack’s life, and the support they gave us as parents.
Cumbria doesn’t have the specialist care & equipment needed for such young, premature babies so we were transferred to the nearest hospital that had availability which was Middlesbrough. Their Neo Natal ward had the intensive care/high dependency incubator cots that we needed, and luckily one was available for Jack. Here, they carried out respiratory support and other intensive therapies to try and save Jack’s life. Alongside the temperature controlled incubator, the staff use a variety of lifesaving equipment and medication. Some rare, specialist equipment can also be shared between hospitals. Whilst we were in their care the ward organised some of this specialist equipment to be transferred from Newcastle to Middlesbrough to try and help Jack.
We are raising funds for lifesaving equipment to be placed at James Cook Hospital to help families and their premature babies.
