In march 2023 mum went into Katherine House and spent the next 3 weeks there before peacefully passing away on 29th march. During her time there Katherine House were able to not only make mum comfortable and care for her but also the rest of the family too! Mum had really wanted to be at home at the end and although this is what we had agreed to, mum was persuaded to go into Katherine House for a short time to manage pain… in a very short time she felt happy and at home.  I cannot ever thank Katherine House enough for what they did for us… during mums last few weeks they made it possible for us to make even more precious memories and have time that was so special.  It truly is a very special place with some incredible people there who help you during the worst times. 

Katharine House provides specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting conditions across North Oxfordshire and South Northamptonshire. We provide inpatient services, specialist nurses out in the community, a Living Well programme, a specialist hospital team and bereavement support.Our Moonlight Walk is one of our flagship fundraising events with close to 500 people taking part to raise money for our patients and their families.
