I am doing a 24 hour run and on the hour every hour I am doing burpees for the whole 24 hours on 18th Jan 2020!!!!! . I will keep moving never stop until the 24 hours is up. Guernsey Man Club is run by people with huge hearts and they have built a community of amazing people. I have been lucky enough to meet some of these guys and they are bloody hero’s. 

Here’s a little poem I wrote for Man Club: 

Human Connection,

Let there be human connection,
The touch of a hand holding someone close.
A smile given to someone who needs it most,
A loving embrace that is full of grace,
And a soulful place that will hold the space.
For men to hold a sacred stick,
That will allow them to speak of pain so deep without any fear,
With people who are here.
To listen to the stories of guys who may shed some tears.
To silently hold someone’s heart in your hand,
And change their life with one simple stand.
For the stigma that rules our lives to this day,
Of the need to be strong and always ok.
Times have changed and people need their say,
That it is ok to not be ok.
And stand tall and hold each other once more.
Human connection is what is missing,
In a world of confusion and a lot less kissing.
A world so strong that we have lost the mission,
Not to fight our emotions and battle intuition.
But to love each soul who we meet in person,
Not a like on Facebook or a tweet that worsen.
Our hearts beat for each other and that is the mission,
At times we need to carry the load,
For people who have seen too much they need to off load.
Just a place for like minded people,
To sit and download,
without any judgements owed.
For the sake of us all,
Let’s smash down this wall.
