Story
Dear all,
In blood cancer awareness month Simon Thomas is taking part in a 30 day challenge for Bloodwise to raise much needed awareness for blood cancer. Everyday he is given a new challenge and one of those is this Saturday doing the Thames Bridges Trek, walking a 25km route from Putney Bridge, heading east towards the city, over Tower Bridge and finishing in Southwark.
I'm joining him and Ethan to raise money for the Gemma Thomas fund which was set up in my lovely sisters name. The fund raises money for research in to blood cancer, which took her life so cruelly just 3 days after being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. It also took my Dad’s life this year after a long battle with Myeloma. Blood cancer claims more lives in the UK a year than breast cancer and prostate cancer but does not get the same national attention or funding. We want and need to change this.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I know this is short notice but any help would be much appreciated.
