Being a big kid at heart & loving all things Christmas I was browsing the tinterweb for some christmassy ideas and up popped the Great Santa Run which is being held on Sunday 14 December 2014 at the Forest Nottingham. Initially my plan was just to go down and see it over a delicious hot choc and bacon buttie from Homemade @ The Pavillion but whilst sipping on some delicious mulled cider last night from the very same place I decided that said hot choc & bacon buttie would taste so much better if I had earnt it by doing a swift dash around the park dressed as Santa, hence why I am now competing!!!

Initially I was just taking part for a laugh but then further enquiries found that the charity was wish  upon a star (who send poorly children to lapland every year & as poorly children are unfortunately far too close to my heart having lost a very lovely young friend far too soon this year and another little boy I know has many challenges to overcome on a daily basis due to his disabilities), I decided to try and raise as much money as possible for this great cause.

So... In memory of Oliver Lee me & Izzy will be doing the 2.5k santa run & although it isnt far it will still proove challenging for me as Izzy doesnt do walking & I fear I may be carrying her most of the way!!

Anyway if you can spare a few pence or pounds they will be very greatfully recieved.
