UPDATE: The journey begins again! After a summer of just small short runs here and there, it’s time to get back in training for LONDON 2019!!! Please read my story below and my blog of my journey so far as I head into another winter of training, fundraising and organising events.
Anthony Nolan have been amazing support so far and I cannot wait to meet with the team again to take on and complete our goals as volunteers, runners, friends and family.
Exactly a year ago to this day, Natalie passed away at the young age of 28. She had lost an extremely graceful battle with cancer, which I watched tear holes in the lives of people who love her so dearly. Truly heartbreaking.
One of my oldest friends to date, Tracey, was incredibly close to Natalie and her Fiance, Craig. I've found it hard enough to watch the grief unfold within people you love, let alone losing someone so close to you and grieving for them.
Anthony Nolan managed to find a match for Natalie, without this charity her loved ones wouldn't have had those extra days before she passed. I want to raise some money to help them continue to do the amazing things they are doing.
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells, to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. They won’t stop until they save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings them closer to that day.
