My journey began quite some time ago when I realised I needed dialysis to help my kidneys. 4.5 years ago I was extremely lucky to be given a kidney transplant. Sidney (the kidney) has been doing amazing and has helped me live a more fulfilling life than when I was on dialysis. 

Unfortunately back in April 2021 my world crashed around me once again when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I underwent treatment to remove the lump but unfortunately it had spread to my lymph nodes. I have recently completed a course of radiotherapy ….and so far so good. 

The team at St Luke’s and the breast screening team were amazing and I can’t thank them enough ….this is why I have decided to take on this challenge to help raise vital funds for this gruelling disease.
