Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The training has started with 12.5 miles done on the first run out! Please help me to raise money for a very special 3 year old who desperately wants to learn to walk!
I will be starting near to home in Solihull at 6am, and if anyone would like to support me by joining in or to sponsor me or both I would be very greatfull. Please let me know if you would like to follow and support.
You can donate either by the link below or text.
Thanks in advance, Charlotte will be very pleased with what we do raise. :)
Charlotte Bottger was born at 30 weeks and spent the first 7 weeks of her life in hospital. When she left the hospital there were no concerns about Charlottes development but when she was 9 months old it was clear there was a problem and 9 months later she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.
Whilst Charlotte can now commando crawl her legs will not support her. Her dream is to be able to walk on her own and join in with her friends games.
There is an operation in America that can help Charlotte called a Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) which cuts the nerves at the bottom of her spine, this should release the tightness in her legs. This will be followed by lots of physiotherapy.
We need to raise around £60,000 for Tree of Hope. This will cover the cost of the operation and the time in America as well as the continued therapy for up to two years after the operation. If you would like to help Charlotte reach her dreams by being one of Charlottes Angels you can contribute to my fundraising page or hold an event on Charlottes behalf.
If we exceed the target, or if we do not raise enough funds, or if they cannot be used for any other reason, the funds raised will go to Tree of Hope to assist other sick children.
