Story
Peter's funeral is going to be held on Friday 16th August at 12.15 pm at Holy Trinity Church in Cuckfield, then afterwards at The Old School.
Peter was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia six years ago, a truly horrible disease that affects sufferers both physically and cognitively. In Peter's case this meant his mobility decreased, he was often in pain and he found it harder and harder to cope in social situations. He had to give up work and was no longer able to take part in activities he had previously really enjoyed. Despite this he never once complained and remained a really loving husband and father. We will miss him greatly
We have chosen to raise funds for St Peter and St James Hospice in memory of Peter. Not only did they help Peter but they have been a great support for Iona, Findlay and Imogen. The Hospice provides a wellbeing service for the whole family of someone suffering from a terminal illness, including counselling. This is funded purely by donations but makes a huge difference to those supported by them and is especially valuable for children.
We are really grateful to those who feel able to make a donation, Peter was a very humble person and would have been really taken aback by the kind words and love we have received since his death.
With many thanks from Rebecca, Iona, Findlay and Imogen xxx
