What?
We are raising money for Cool Earth because the planet needs all the help it can get.
Our goal is simple: Raise $1000 CAD on behalf of Cool Earth. Simple math tells me that if 200 people give $5.00 CAD we will achieve this goal. That’s only $3.75 USD. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

How & Where?
By participating in the Rickshaw Run.
This event involves driving a 3 wheeled vehicle designed for everything other than what we are going to do to them more than 3,500 kilometers across India. These mechanical marvels are known as Rickshaws, Tuk Tuks, and oversized lawnmowers.
No set plan, no set route, no support. Sounds Ridiculous!
The goal is not to be first, the goal is simply to finish.
Why?
When Heather and Matt were in Borneo recently, they saw the impact of deforestation on local communities, and on the creatures that call the forests home. It also helps that the carbon we are putting out into the atmosphere will be somewhat offset by the actions of this charity.
We were thrilled when we learned that a requirement for participating in this event was to raise money for an organization that works to protect these places.
What is Cool Earth you ask? Here is what their website says:
“We champion the relationship between people, rainforest and climate. Cool Earth exists to give cash directly to rainforest communities, to fund projects that create choice, tackle the root causes of deforestation and protect vital carbon sinks.This is our mission. When
We begin in North East India in early April and in theory arrive at the finish party twoish weeks later. We will post updates on our Rickshaw Run advenventure on our instagram page (@reason2roam). Be sure to follow along to see how badly we get lost!
