ABP Full and Half Marathon and 10K · 24 April 2022 ·

We are very excited to have a team of runners donning their purple Abby's Heroes shirts and taking part in the ABP Southampton Full and Half Marathon and 10K taking place on Sunday 24th April 2022

Story

I am running the ABP Southampton 10k in memory of our darling Taylor, Taylor was the funniest, sassiest and the most loveable 9 year old I have ever met. She really lit up any room she entered and I was so lucky to be around her and how she inspired me to really live each day. Taylor has left a huge hole in our lives and we miss her everyday.

I am throwing myself out of my comfort zone and running to raise money for an amazing charity that really helped Taylor throughout her journey and continues to help many sick children.

Abbys Heroes, a Hampshire childrens cancer charity, is there for families when a child is diagnosed with cancer, as it has a devastating impact on the physical, financial and emotional health and wellbeing of the whole family, both during and after treatment and beyond. Our charity supports children and their families receiving cancer treatment at Piam Brown Ward or the Teenage and Young Adult Unit at University Hospital Southampton, the Regional Centre for Paediatric Oncology and Haematology from the Wessex Region (which includes Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey, West Sussex and the Channel Islands).”
