Story
Hi all,
Thanks for taking the time to look at my page & hopefully donating!
In April 2024 I will be running the Paris, Manchester & London Marathon, one week after the other.
To say this is daunting would be an understatement but no going back now!
If anybody would be willing to donate to a great cause, it would definitely make the long training runs and dark cold evenings coming up a little more bearable & all of the money would go to the fantastic Dogs for Good charity. Please read below about some of the fantastic work they do!
Dogs for Good, trains dogs to help people affected by disability, dementia, autism, and other conditions and mental health challenges to live happier, healthier, more independent lives. These are dogs that open doors, that connect people, that bring families together. Dogs that help make everyday life possible in so many ways.Your support will enable Dogs for Good to reach more people who could benefit from a life changing dog.
£3 will provide a dog toy for playtime – play and reward are an essential part of our dog's training and helps our trainers and volunteers to build a strong bond with their dogs.
£4.69 will cover the cost of a working assistance dog for a day – the impact of an assistance dog allows greater independence and less need for care.
£6 will provide a puppy with food for a week – to help them grow into happy, healthy dogs.
£9 could buy a jacket for a dog in training – to identify them as working dogs and assist with access into public places.
£15 could provide a lead slip and ID – to identify them as a Dogs for Good dog.
£30 will pay for a puppy class – so they can learn basic obedience and distraction training.
£44 will buy a specialist jacket and lead for an autism assistance dog – to keep a child safe from bolting in
