Story
The Youth Scholarship program of CACM supports under-privileged youth from the war-affected North and East, and the Estate Worker community in Sri Lanka in vocational and academic studies. It aims to develop a strong foundation for life and is primarily focused on young women.
The program ranges from helping school drop outs to retake their OL and AL exams, to intensive English classes, preparatory studies for university admission, immersive women’s rights awareness program, workshops on values related to democratic citizenship, IT courses, sports, martial arts and creative arts workshops and vocational education. After these preparatory programs students are supported with scholarships for vocational studies in Sri Lanka, or university studies in Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh and Europe.
