Alder Hey Lockdown Challenge · 22 June 2020

7 out of 10 children and young people who experience a mental health condition have not had appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The impact of CV-19 has been massive on us all and will undoubtedly remain challenging for some time to come yet.

Alder Hey is our chosen Charity for 2020 and we had several events planned to raise funds for them which sadly have had to be cancelled due to lockdown.

Having reflected, despite the current circumstances, we believe it is right to try and help.

Alder Hey recently launched their new £3m “7 in 10 Children’s Mental Health Appeal” which highlights that 7 out of 10 children and young people who experience mental health issues have not had the appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age and aims to raise vital funds to enhance inpatient and community mental health services at Alder Hey, enabling more children to access the treatment they need, at the time they need.

So, as a Team from RBS Commercial & Business Banking, we are planning to “trek” (walk/cycle/run) 1000 miles during the week commencing 22 June and we would really appreciate your support raising funds for this excellent cause.

Please forgive us for asking at this time, but if you are comfortable donating, please do so and this would be greatly appreciated, but given the current situation we completely understand if you’d prefer not to.

Taking part will be Phil Evans, Anthony McGreevy, Karen Plan, Katie Griffiths, Wendy Griffiths, Paul Bagan, Alison Rigby, Andrea Ray, Mike Wernham, Chris Nesbitt, Sue McNally, Sadie Sharples, Ian Miller, Marg Grady, Liz Bowen, Mark Nash, Immi Patel,Abbie Marshall, Steve Ford.

Thank you.
