Story
The fantastic work done by the regional Air Ambulances of England and Wales should need little introduction to riders.
Every year the 22 helicopters in service fly some 17,500 missions, around 40% of which are in response to road traffic accidents.
Speed is vital when it comes to emergency situations. Receiving rapid and appropriate medical attention is paramount, and there is an increased chance of survival if the patient receives specialist trauma treatment within the first 60 minutes after an accident - the ‘Golden Hour’.
Many bikers today owe their lives to the immediate medical treatment provided within the ‘Golden Hour’ by one of the regional air ambulances. Tomorrow it might be you or one of your mates whose life depends on them.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. The Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please give generously now!
Many thanks for your support.
