Story
The RMCH is very close to our hearts as they provide amazing care for our equally amazing kids. This is our story...
Superman
Eloise & Harry have an ace mate, who we will call superman, because he is their superhero. Superman and his family have had the toughest time recently. This superhero is undergoing intensive and invasive treatment for cancer. He is 4 years old.
Eloise
When Eloise was 3 weeks old she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF). It was a massive shock and utterly heart-breaking. Eloise's young life had taken a direction we had not envisaged. We are now members of a club which we never wanted to be in.
From the very start of our journey the CF team at RMCH have been there for us. Professional, knowledgeable and always at the end of the phone.
Our dream is for Eloise and everyone with CF to live the life they deserve - a life unlimited. You can read more about CF on the CF Trust website https://www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk/what-is-cystic-fibrosis
Walk of hope...
So, in a bid to make a small difference, to give hope and do something positive, Eloise, Harry and Superman will be walking 2km and raising some cash for RMCH.
All families are expert in shielding and we promise you that social distancing will be adhered to.
The pandemic we are currently living through has had a massive impact on the ability of the RMCH to raise essential funds.
We would appreciate any pennies you can spare.
Thanks for reading our story.
Be kind and stay safe.
Peace & love,
Team superhero xx
Humphreys Lantern Walk raises funds to make a difference for every child, every day at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Things are a bit different this year - we're going virtual! Take a walk around your local park & watch your lanterns twinkle!
