Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It's nearly 30 years since I last did the GNR and after watching it on TV many times, I thought it was about time I got involved again!

Many of us has had the dreaded cancer affect our lives at some point, either personally or with family or friends. My story is that both my mum and dad were diagnosed with leukaemia - in mum's case it was many years ago in 1975 and I was only 6 when she passed away.

Dad was diagnosed in 2008 and was given 2 years to live. However, a combination of trial drugs and his well known stubbornness (!) saw him live until 2014.

So deciding which charity to support was an easy decision.

I'd really appreciate any help you can give and together we can raise as much money as possible and hopefully surpass the target of £1000 for this great charity - every penny counts!
