Story
I have known Kris Hallenga for many years and admired the way she has responded to her own breast cancer by creating a charity aiming to tackle the problem through awareness and education.
The Spine Race is called Britain's most brutal race. We have 6.5 days to run the 268 miles (425 km) up the Pennine Way from Edale to Kirk Yetholm in Scotland. We have to carry our gear, navigate the course, and sleep when and if we can. If I manage it, this will be 100 miles (162KM) further than I have ever run before.
CoppaFeel! are the first UK breast cancer charity to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim to instil a new healthy behaviour that could one day save a life. They are on a mission to ensure breast cancer is diagnosed early and correctly by getting the nation to check their boobs/chest regularly. They want to educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, encourage them to get to know what is normal for them and empower young people to have the confidence to see a doctor if they notice anything that isn't right for them.
