Story
My wonderful family, led by my cousin Will, are cycling 173 miles across 3 days along the Scotland Coast2Coast route from Annan, in Dumfries and Galloway, to St Andrews, in NE Fife, to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities. People often do not know the wonderful work this charity does until they require it’s help. This was the case for my husband and me.
In 2019 when our daughter, Eilidh, at the age of 2 weeks old needed to be transferred to King’s College Hospital in London, we had no idea where we were going to stay as we were over 400 miles from home. This was a huge extra concern on top of the worry we were already enduring with an extremely unwell baby. However, Ronald McDonald House Charities were there. Please read how below and consider sponsoring my family to support such an important charity who are there when people most need them.
“Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with children having treatment in hospital. Our Houses offer much more than just a place to stay; they provide family activities, peer support, respite, and many other services. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life with reduced emotional and financial strain. We help over 6,000 families each year and now, more than ever, we need your support. Thank you.”
